Welcome to my website. This is my first post. I have lived in Longmeadow my whole life. During the pandemic and a bit after, I started learning more about ecology, climate, plants, and soil. Longmeadow has a lot going for it in terms of nature, but also a lot of issues. This website will talk about constructive and destructive happenings in town. I welcome all comments – good or bad – have at it.

Posts on this website are meant to be a mixture of informal, funny, serious, scientific, and technical writing. It will be what is on my mind, including hypothetical solutions for some of our big issues. Longmeadow is a privileged town. Our unique floodplain ecosystem, our old shade trees, our dingles, and our parks make us special. It is rare to find such a suburban place with potentially rich nature always within walking distance.

Not only must we preserve this town for future generations – we have an obligation to make it better.
